If I saw it I probably would send more money...
And one could argue that money sent to people on the streets of Vancouver is less effective than sending money to people in africa (assuming it's spent right). A lot of people on the streets (not all!) have substance abuse problems, and just spend the money (or whatever other resources they are given) to get more of that substance. Most people in Africa actually want change, and probably know the importance of food and water more than someone who has taken it for granted and picked the drug over it...

let me guess, you don't believe anything the government or any other corporation tells you either. Believe it or not, some people tell the truth. Seriously, gtfo. you lose.

you're an idiot...

If they flew their employees first class, you can sure as hell bet people would know about it. Not only that but charitable companies aren't always out there to get every cent for themselves. Believe it or not some people are just good willed. Stop spreading lies just to try and dig yourself out of the big shit hole you've dug yourself.

It would be better to give your money to a company, because the money that is spent on getting there is completely wasted. They already have the infrastructure to get supplies, and people out there.

he probably wasn't down there at all. Either way it doesn't make a difference whether you've been there or not

how does giving them food, water, and an education not help them? Hell, why wouldn't you want to help them. If you can get just 1 community to learn how to sustain itself, its worth it. It's only the walking dead because of idiots like you who just forget about them and say "nope can't help them" like a total coward. If we actually did something, it wouldn't be the walking dead.

Your right throwing money at them doesn't help at all. But we're not throwing money at them dipshit. We're setting up fresh water sources, a place for education, a sustainable food and energy source, and giving them a freaking soccer ball for their mental health. Throwing money won't do anything, but setting up a infrastructure that will help educate them about the diseases they can contract, and the ways that they can sustain themselves will. It just needs to happen 1 community at a time.

Except programs are already in place to help people in our own towns. Not only that but the chance of our cities becoming like those in Africa is 1 in a billion billion.
And as you said "a few" people are homeless. Africa has way more than a few...

ending hunger ends more than just hunger.

Yes you're right, since some plans haven't worked before, we should just let them starve to death and not give a f*ck about them. (if you believe this go die in a hole...)

Anyways I know that my money is going to a child in burkina faso, he now has school supplies, and a fresh water supply. He is clothed, fed, and hell we even bought him a soccer ball.

you didn't say everyone was dieing (i was exaggerating) but you did say this:
"he real question is... who needs it the most. Would you rather let your OWN country DIE"
"As i believe BC has the worst Child Poverty in all of Canada."

"I have no country to fight for; my country is the earth, and I am a citizen of the world."
Eugene V. Debs

My country isn't dieing. A lot of people in Africa are. Get this idea that everyone in BC is dieing out of your head.

"so you care more about some other country then your own??"

I'd rather help who needs it most, I really don't give a shit what country their in. Thinking of hunger and poverty in terms of my country and your country, doesn't really help the situation much. A kid in africa deserves food as much as a kid in BC
